British Open champion Padraig Harrington and U.S. Open winner Angel Cabrera will compete at the World Match Play Championship at Wentworth in October, organisers said on Friday.

The duo will be joined at the West Course in Surrey by six-times winner Ernie Els, fellow South African Retief Goosen, Briton Justin Rose, American Jerry Kelly and Argentine Andres Romero.

Holder Paul Casey, Swede Niclas Fasth, Colin Montgomerie of Britain and Dane Anders Hansen, winner of the PGA Championship at Wentworth in May, will also vie for the richest first prize in golf, one million pounds.

"Winning the World Match Play last year was a real milestone for me," Briton Casey told the European Tour''s official Web site (www.europeantour.com).

"I relish the cut and thrust of match play and winning gave me such a confidence boost last year ahead of the Ryder Cup, and a rather nice winner''s cheque too."
